Thanks for doing your assignments...
Thanks for doing your assignments. My goal is to let this generate some discussion between us on the blog, on the phone and in person. The task that is before is an important one. It is probably more important than any of us realize. However, I am convinced that God brought this little group together, on purpose, to make something good happen.
Read one anothers posts and make comments. Ask questions of one another and look at how your experiences mirror one another.
Here is a question to discuss: How did your perception of the leadership in your church impact your faith? Possible responses could include: (1) none at all, I didn't even notice; or (2) negatively, the way in which my church handled organizational matters made me mistrust the church and wonder why it didn't look like the way I thought church was supposed to be; or (3) it had a positive impact upon me because of the model of Christlikeness the leaders of my church portrayed.
Of course, you could answer in another way as well. However, in the same way that the behavior of parents imprints upon children, so can the leaders of Christian communities have a positive or negative impact upon the participants in that body. What do you think?
